Successful project delivery depends on the ability of project managers to practically apply the knowledge, tools and techniques that reduce costs, achieve schedules and control risks. This foundational course is presented in a highly interactive 1 day workshop that allows participants to practice the tools and techniques as they learn them, which are immediately useful in project delivery.
This course discusses how to manage the project life cycle from end-to-end. It aligns with the latest version of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Participants are requested to bring their own laptops to the face-to-face workshop to read the workbook in PDF (no printed copies are supplied).
Course participants should be currently working in a project team, working is a project support role or planning to do so in the near future.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for individuals from any discipline who work, or aspire to work, in projects: project team members, technical analysts, business analysts, junior project managers and PMO.
New practitioners will learn the responsibilities they are expected to perform and why each responsibility is important.
Experienced practitioners will learn how to adapt their skills and experience to a broader range of situation, learn new approaches for managing projects, and learn ideas to help mentor others.
